Final Round AI alternative
A Final Round AI alternative for interview practice
Final Round AI describes a desktop assistant for live interviews, plus practice on a paid plan. OneShot Interview is the rehearsal you finish before the real recording starts.
No sign-up · No credit card · Camera optional
Final Round AI's site describes Interview CoPilot as an assistant that listens to a live interview and shows a suggested answer in a private window. The same site also describes practice interviews, where you rehearse out loud against a job you set up. Those are two different moments. One happens during the interview. One happens before it.
OneShot Interview only does the second kind of work, and only for the one-way format: you answer on a timer, then you see a STAR score and a rewrite. It is not an assistant you leave open while an employer is recording you. Close it before you start the real interview. Most employers treat an outside tool during the recording as a problem.

|---|---|---|
| What it is | A desktop app. Their homepage says it can suggest an answer during a live interview, and that you can also run practice interviews. | A browser rehearsal for a one-way video interview. Prep timer, answer timer, one take, then a score. |
| Free | A $0 plan for goals, a resume and materials, job-description parsing, and a prep checklist, on macOS or Windows. Their plans section says there is no free trial for live sessions. Their FAQ says starting a live or practice session requires a subscription. | One question at the free try, with no sign-up. One full session is also free on that browser. The camera is optional, and you can type the answer on a phone. |
| Paid | Pro is shown from $25 per month. Their plans section says it unlocks live CoPilot, practice interviews, debriefs, and screen help, and that you can save up to 40%. A full price for every billing period was not consistent across their public pages, so only this figure is listed. | $7 for one session, $25 for five, $49 for fifteen, or $59 for 30 days of unlimited sessions. These are one-time payments. The 30-day pass does not auto-renew. |
| HireVue-style interviews | Their homepage FAQ lists HireVue-style interviews among the formats they support, along with phone, coding, and others. | A HireVue practice page with editable prep and answer timers, sample questions, and a free question. Not affiliated with HireVue. |

Practice before, or guidance during
If you want something on screen while a live interviewer is talking, that is the product Final Round AI describes. Read their own page before you decide, and read the rules of the interview you are walking into. OneShot Interview will not do that job, on purpose.
If you want to find out whether a two-minute story actually has a result, do that earlier. A timed take is a better teacher than a suggestion you have not practiced saying. The free question on this site is that take. No account, camera optional, typing allowed.
What we left out, and why
Their blog has an article that calls itself the pricing source of truth. It lists an annual plan at $25 per month billed as $300 a year, a quarterly plan at $60 per month billed as $180, and a monthly plan at $90. It also says there is no permanent free plan and that a 10-minute trial exists.
The plans section on their homepage, which is also what their /pricing address returned, says something else: a $0 plan for setup materials, no free trial for live sessions, and Pro from $25 per month. Their help FAQ agrees that practice sessions need a subscription. When two of their pages disagree, this comparison keeps the plans section and the FAQ, and does not repeat the blog's other numbers.
Questions worth a timed take
Practice these out loud, or by typing, before the interview. They are examples, not Final Round AI's scenarios and not an employer's questions.
1. Tell us about a time you had to choose between two good options.
How to approach it: The constraint, the tradeoff you named, the choice, and what happened after.
2. Describe a time you were behind and had to tell someone.
How to approach it: When you said it, what you proposed, and whether the date moved or the scope did.
3. Tell us about a time you taught yourself enough to be useful.
How to approach it: The gap, the first thing you learned, how you used it, and what you still did not know.
4. How would you handle a teammate missing a handoff?
How to approach it: The steps in order. Then one real example, if the timer allows it. Do not invent a policy you have never used.
5. What should we remember about you after this answer?
How to approach it: One proof point. Then stop, even if time is left. A second boast usually weakens the first.
